IT Days Europe 2023 - Let IT grow together!
More than 120 participants from 25 European countries attended IT Days Europe 2023.
More than120 participants from 25 European countries, groundbreaking presentations, intensive networking and not too forgetting: a lot of fun. The IT Days Europe, held from June 19 to 22 under the motto „Let IT grow together!“ were an absolute highlight of the IT year 2023.
Over the course of two and a half days in Dordrecht, the Netherlands, insights were shared, projects presented and new connections forged. How will the business models of the Würth national companies be supported in the future? Answers were also provided to this crucial question. In addition, clear conditions were ensured: those who were there got more than just an idea of how the Würth Group‘s IT and the entire Würth Group are positioning themselves for the future.
We summarize the most important topics and developments in this article. The main roles are played by artificial intelligence (AI), SAP and, above all, the plans for a new IT architecture in the Group.
From the warm welcome by host Moritz Schwarz, Managing Director of Würth Netherlands, to the bus transport to the evening barbecue: The five-member organization team from the marketing department of Würth IT ensured perfect conditions in Dordrecht.
Lecture „Brain vs. Artificial Intelligence
The lecture „Brain vs. Artificial Intelligence“ by brain researcher Dr. Henning Beck brought important impulses into the discussion in a very entertaining way. For the researcher, one thing is for sure: AI offers great opportunities - but only if one‘s own brain is not switched off when dealing with it. „The ideas that take us forward must continue to come from humans in the future,“ says Dr. Henning Beck.
It‘s good that events like the IT Days exist, where a multitude of new ideas are generated in dialog - that was the positive feedback from the participants. After the presentation on AI, they met in the „World Café“ to brainstorm together and recorded numerous ideas and requirements on flipcharts.
News about Marketplace and more
What‘s new at the moment was presented at the IT Days by the project managers from Würth‘s IT group. Giulia Kuznik kicked things off with the new Marketplace, while Philip Harm and Michael Schmidt provided a rich conclusion to the first day by taking a look at the future of e-business, including voice control and apps.
On the final day of the IT Days, communications and data centers were on the agenda. Then it was time for a conclusion. In keeping with the diverse perspectives for the future, we can also combine this with an outlook: The content-rich and multifaceted get-together of the IT Group with its contacts in the Würth national companies will take place again next year.
