Würth IT actively promotes the social commitment of its employees and donates a total of EUR 3,500 to charitable organizations in Germany. The donations are used to support various local projects at the company's locations.

Support at all locations: 500 euros for employee volunteering projects

As part of the fundraising campaign, employees were able to present their volunteer projects and secure EUR 500 each for their initiatives. Over 40 projects were submitted, and the projects supported were selected by a vote of all Würth IT employees.

"As a company and part of society, it is important to us to recognize and support the valuable work of these organizations. In particular, we want to help ensure that our dedicated employees can continue their voluntary work successfully," explains Christian Berndt, Managing Director of Würth IT.

The following seven projects are supported by Würth IT:

  • Lebenshof Pegasus of the Vita est cara e.V.
  • Animal welfare association Bad Mergentheim and surroundings e.V.
  • Wish wagon of the Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund e.V.
  • Würzburger Kindertafel e.V.
  • Friends of KidsTreff Wendepunkt e.V. Schorndorf
  • Deutsches Kinderhilfswerk e.V.
  • Youth fire department of the municipality of Bretzfeld

Commitment in various areas honored: from animal welfare to children in need

"The breadth of our employees' commitment is impressive. From protecting animals and supporting children in need to promoting a wide range of social projects - this diversity shows how deeply a sense of social responsibility is anchored in our corporate culture," says Dr. Thomas Burkhart, Executive Vice President for IT in the Würth Group.

Both Lebenshof Pegasus in Boxberg and the animal shelter in Bad Mergentheim look after animals that have fallen into distress due to neglect, exploitation or indifference.

The Workers' Samaritan Federation accompanies people who, for medical reasons, do not have long to live and fulfills their last wish.

Providing children in need with a healthy snack is the task of the Würzburger Kindertafel. To this end, they prepare healthy snacks every morning and deliver them to schools. The KidsTreff Wendepunkt in Schorndorf is also a social institution for children in life situations that require special support. Deutsches Kinderhilfswerk initiates and supports measures and projects that promote the participation of children and young people regardless of their origin or residence status.

The Bretzfeld youth fire department stands for important values and camaraderie, openness, honesty, competence and legal awareness characterize its actions, whereby everyone is actively involved, individual strengths are promoted and weaknesses are overcome together.
