Würth IT Honors Anniversaries

On 17 January 2025, Würth IT held its annual anniversary celebration in the event barn at Assumstadt Castle. A total of 49 jubilarians were honored for their many years of loyalty and commitment. This event was launched a few years ago in order to duly honor the many years of service and the outstanding work of each individual in the company.

 

Strong Support from Families Appreciated

Bernd Herrmann, Member of the Central Managing Board of the Würth Group, Dr. Thomas Burkhart, Executive Vice President for IT, and Christian Berndt, Managing Director of Würth IT GmbH, welcomed the jubilarians and paid tribute to the outstanding achievements of the loyal employees. In his speech, Christian Berndt particularly emphasized the importance of family support: "We are not only here to celebrate the anniversaries, but also the partners of those celebrating their anniversaries. Without the backing and support at home, this success would not have been possible".

"Würth IT has always been characterized by a high level of professionalism and a strong team spirit. The special people and the friendships I have made here have made my 40 years of work a fulfilling and inspiring journey. I am proud to be part of such a dynamic and future-oriented company," said Martina Schmitt, a member of the Würth IT training team, who was honored for her 40th anniversary within the Group.

The celebration was marked by many anecdotes from the world of IT: in particular, those celebrating anniversaries with more than 25 years of service were honored with a special speech in which important developments of the past decades were discussed. For example, the first version of Microsoft Office and the beginnings of the Internet were recalled.

 

Up to 45 years with the Company: Over 900 Years of Expertise

The jubilarians were spread across various anniversary levels:

10 years: 24 employees
15 years: 5 employees
20 years: 3 employees
25 years: 6 employees
30 years: 4 employees
35 years: 5 employees
40 years: 1 employee
45 years: 1 employee

This year's anniversary celebration once again provided a wonderful opportunity to honor the successes and long-standing loyalty of our employees and to look back together on the past years.
