This was the Welcome Day 2024 at Würth IT
Würth IT celebrated its Welcome Day on 24 July 2024, at which 31 new IHK trainees and dual students and their families were welcomed to Würth IT. Two IHK apprenticeships and eight degree courses were fully filled this year. The Welcome Day offers the new young talents and their parents the opportunity to get to know the company in advance and make initial contacts.
Varied Program in Künzelsau
This year, the Welcome Day took place in the Alma-Würth-Saal in Künzelsau-Gaisbach and began with a welcome from Sabrina Christof, Martina Schmitt and Anna-Lena Kreuder from the training team. The Würth Group and Würth IT were presented by Christian Berndt, one of the Managing Directors of Würth IT. A subsequent interactive survey offered insights into the history and interesting facts about Würth IT.
The Welcome Day was rounded off with a series of informative presentations. First, Mae Falkenecker introduced the Council of Confidence, which serves as an important point of contact for employee concerns. The Trainee Committee, representing the Young Talents, provided information about its tasks within the company and presented the apprenticeships and degree courses. Social projects such as Action Reconciliation Service for Peace and Würth IT's involvement in the Special Olympics were then discussed, showing how the company makes a positive contribution to society.
There was a particular focus on the data center in Waldzimmern, which is not only the technological heart of the company, but also has an impressive history of development. The participants were also given an insight into the current renovation work at the Waldzimmern site.
Gerd Mark, trainer at the Bad Mergentheim site, once again emphasized the special features of training at Würth IT in the interview: "We don't have the image of a nerd in a dark room. That's why involvement in projects, team coordination and presentations to customers and users are an integral part of the training". A special highlight was the joint barbecue in the outdoor area of the company restaurant, which brought the day to a close in a relaxed atmosphere.
The Welcome Day 2024 was a complete success and living proof of the dynamic and inclusive culture at Würth IT, which promotes and develops young talent.
